Fairlead Home

Fairlead Home is a home for a large and social family. As such the home required multiple entertainment spaces. Due to the elevated nature of the site, it was clear to also search for the distant ocean views.

Furthermore there was also a proper consideration of the potential for adverse weather conditions. Finally, we needed to do all this on a steep slope.

The design maximises the site due to the extent of the client’s brief, and the creation of a protected courtyard that all spaces lived onto, was the obvious and most effective point of departure.
